By far the best hot chocolate(drinking chocolate) I have had in seattle. This looks like a luxury chocolate shop and definitely on a little pricier side, I have passed by a few times and never cared about it much. I went to the store for the first time on a food tour and was quite impressed. Went in again to get some drinking chocolate. It was sublime. Tried a couple of truffles too, they were amazing as well. They gave us some samples too. The ambiance of the store is chic and sophisticated, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend coming to this shop if you like chocolate, you won’t be disappointed. Definitely one of the best I have been to so far.
Incredible chocolate! The hot "drinking" chocolate is divine. Their salted caramels are world famous. The decor is very fancy at this location, and staff were very helpful.
These chocolates are to die for! They aren't just beautifully wrapped they taste sooo good. I bought a small assorted gift box with the sea salt caramels and the truffles and I'm kicking myself for not buying 3 boxes! The ladies working there were very helpful and let me try a couple of different chocolates to help me choose my assortment, but I was so full and sick of sweet stuff from an afternoon tea I didn't realize how delicious they were until I got home. Definitely worth a stop for some gifts or just a personal treat to yourself. The packaging is beautiful and will work well as a gift for any occasion.
I am a solo traveler from Japan 🇯🇵 As soon as I nervously opened the door, I was greeted warmly, and they kindly offered me a chocolate sample 🍫 It was absolutely delicious. The shop is located downtown, but it is attached to a hotel, so I felt safe and comfortable in terms of security. It was a very pleasant experience overall.
First time visiting Fran’s and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were all friendly, but Woods truly stood out with her amazing customer service. She was so accommodating for my first visit and recommended the warm matcha latte with caramel, which was absolutely delicious on a chilly day. I also picked up some caramel chocolates—so good! Expensive and fancy little chocolate shop. The free sample as you come in is a nice touch. We didn’t enter planning to buy much, but the staff was so kind that we ended up purchasing one of the lacquer keepsake boxes and filling it with truffles. It was our anniversary, so it only seemed necessary. The dark hazelnut diamonds were by far my favorite, and reminded me of gianduja from Europe. Husband loved the raspberry truffle. We also purchased the grey sea salt dark chocolate thins, which are delicious. This is a fun stop for fine chocolate lovers or for a special occasion.
Love love love. Fran's chocolates are over the top decadant. We were greeted by smiling faces, and a sample of the dark chocolate salted caramel. I was drawn to the bonbons behind thr case - they were so beautiful...were recommended the mixed box of bonbons. Flavors were pistachio, matcha and sesame. Each bonbon had defined flavors my favorite out of the three was sesame. We also took an iced mocha - it was perfectly rich but not overly sweet. The staff were so accommodating. Also everything is packaged so well!
I wasn't even thinking about this chocolate store before I planned this trip on the way, the first night there even. I was just walking along and there it was. FRANS!!! My children and I use to watch a show on "The Cooking Channel" and it was all sweets. Unique sweets and we use to say approximately 15 years ago in Alabama o I WISH. and there it was. I felt faint haha so so grateful 👍🏼 it really was a nice place. A must see and of course there's always a sample a smile and a description. Excellent!! Needless to say my children were treated. One of them even asked. Did you see Frans. It made my Christmas sweater. Thanks!
